LAURA ARANGO
Photography
B. 1990
Bogotá, Colombia
I was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia. For 9 years I lived in Australia where I completed a BA in Journalism and Photography and a Master Degree in Translation and Interpreting.
Just recently I moved to San Diego and currently I work at The AjA Project as a Teaching Artist. My photography explores the duality between traveling and constantly missing home. I believe that my blessing has been the ability to document and learn from different cultures whilst feeling 'foreign' everywhere I've lived.
My work represents my journey in this world as a woman - Which has been a juxtaposition between being soft and strong, simple and complex, delicate but fearless...
But above all ... Being RESILIENT.
